Edmund is a senior partner heading up the firm’s Tax practice with three decades of experience in advising multinational organisations on cross-border tax planning, transfer pricing and tax disputes. He also advises on international trade issues such as customs, WTO and free-trade agreements. Edmund also leads the firm’s Trust, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice and advises high net worth individuals, private banks and trust companies in personal tax, as well as in trust and estate planning matters. Edmund was invited by the government to serve as a Judicial Commissioner at the Supreme Court and served from 2013 to 2016. On stepping down, he was appointed Senior Counsel in 2017, making him the first and only Tax and Trust lawyer to be given this accolade nationwide. Prior to his appointment to the Singapore judiciary in 2013, Edmund was named a Tier 1 lawyer by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for Tax in 2012. His views on tax and wealth management were widely sought and publicised in the media, such as Bloomberg, BBC, Channel NewsAsia, Reuters, The Financial Times and The Straits Times. He was also a founding partner of a Singapore law firm that was associated with an international law firm, where he headed up the Tax and Wealth Management practices in Singapore. Edmund is a former President and an honorary member of the Singapore Trustees Association (STA).

Gautam Duggal, Regional Head - Wealth Management EMEA and UAE at Standard Chartered Bank is responsible for strategy, business and product development for the Bank across Europe, Middle East, and Africa Region. In his role Gautam also oversees the advisory services offered by the Bank for investments, treasury and insurance products to the Retail, Private and Business segments.
He joined Standard Chartered in 2007 as the Regional Head of Bancassurance for MESA & Africa. A seasoned professional, Gautam has over 20 years of leadership experience across insurance, banking and finance, hospitality, service and marketing, with expertise in P&L growth, and launching new businesses. He has held various positions in institutions such as Radisson Hospitality, ExxonMobil, ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co Ltd and ABN AMRO Bank.

In his capacity as Regional Head of Bancassurance for MESA and Africa, Gautam launched the insurance business in Africa in 2007, and has built up the business from a start up to a significant player in Retail Clients. In 2013 Gautam added Wealth Management to his portfolio where he has over the past 2 years, built a strong Wealth Management business proposition, and expanded the product coverage across the region. Under his leadership the wealth business in Africa has grown to become a key pillar of the high value product suite in Africa.

Gautam holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Delhi University and a Masters in Hotel Management (IHM Kolkatta, India).

Gautam is married with two daughters and love spending his spare time going out with them.

Tan Woon Hum is partner with a major Singapore law firm Shook Lin & Bok. He has more than 23 years of experience as a professional lawyer. He heads the Trust, Asset & Wealth Management practice and is widely regarded as one of the rare market leaders specialising in investment funds, REITs, trusts and private wealth. He advises numerous fund managers, wealth managers and EAMs, setting up Singapore and Cayman funds, getting CMS licences, RFMC & VCFMC approvals, setting up family offices and private trusts, including Section 13X structures. He holds a law degree as well as a MBA (Finance). He has been a sought after speaker and speaks regularly at public conferences and seminars for more than 17 years in Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Malaysia and also conducts professional training courses (including Euromoney, Courses & Seminars & Henley Business School hedge funds programmes). Woon Hum has been recognised as a leading funds lawyer by Chambers Asia-Pacific 2012 to 2019, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2017 to 2019, and Best Lawyers Singapore 2013 to 2020. He is also recommended for his expertise in real estate in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2014, 2015, 2017 to 2019, and in private wealth in the 2019 edition. Woon Hum is also cited as a notable practitioner in IFLR1000 2018 and 2019.

Rohit Ganguli is the Head of Wealth Planning Asia at EFG Bank, he has two decades of experience working with clients to assist them in achieving their wealth planning objectives especially in relation to succession, legacy and asset protection needs. This often involves the use of trusts, foundations, corporate entities and other holding vehicles. Rohit is responsible for all aspects of the insurance activity in EFG in Asia. This involves supporting all insurance related discussions – including identifying life insurance referral opportunities based on clients’ wealth and liquidity planning needs, extensively interacting with external counter parties (such as insurance brokers and carriers) and also actively engaging with related stake holders within the bank. He manages all discussions around single family offices (SFO) and works closely with clients on the benefits and processes involved in the set up of SFOs. Rohit has a background in accountancy and also holds a Master’s degree in International Tax Law from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. He is a registered trust and estate practitioner (TEP) and holds a diploma from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is also certified with the Singapore College of Insurance. He has worked across geographies and has been with Big 4 consulting firms and MNCs prior to joining the bank.

AW Wen Ni is a Partner in the Specialist & Private Client Disputes Practice and in the Private Wealth Practice. Wen Ni's main practice areas are in civil commercial litigation and private wealth. Wen Ni regularly advises ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with assets spanning different jurisdictions on succession and estate planning with a view to business continuity and providing for the future generations. This includes the setting up of trust structures, family offices, applications for the relevant tax exemption schemes, negotiating and preparing prenuptial agreements and family constitutions. Being a litigator, Wen Ni also acts for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families in complex and high value disputes including contested estate / probate matters, shareholders' disputes, banking and financial disputes and proceedings commenced under Mental Capacity Act 2008. As a litigator, Wen Ni regularly appears as Counsel before the Singapore Courts.

Anthony is Chief Executive Officer of Isola Capital Group. Anthony has extensive experience in asset management, including private equity and venture capital. Anthony enjoyed a career in investment banking with Credit Suisse, Citigroup and Lehman Brothers Asia before transitioning to private investments. He has broad investment expertise across consumer, education, food safety, industrial, and technology sectors. Anthony attained a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) from The University of Sydney and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from The University of Sydney Law School. He is also a graduate of The College of Law (Sydney) and was admitted to the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of NSW. Anthony completed the Financial Engineering Program of Stanford University and attended the Stanford Executive Institute. He is a Responsible Officer for Type 1 (Dealing in Securities), Type 4 (Advising on Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) activities licensed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. Anthony is Co-Chair of Cyberport Investors Network Growth Portfolio Sub-Committee, a member of the Limited Partners Committee, Family Office Committee and Wine Committee of HKVCA, a member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce Taxation Committee and YEC Executive Committee. He is a member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investments Institute. Anthony is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. He is a keen tennis player, golfer, wine enthusiast and Formula One fan.

Tommy is the Co-Head of Global Family and Institutional Wealth (GFIW), APAC. He and his team work closely with colleagues across global wealth management, investment bank and asset management to cover the billionaire clients in the region, their family offices and operating companies, offering holistic, one-bank solutions ranging from portfolio investments, wealth planning, family governance to institutional capital market solutions. Prior to this, Tommy was the Head of Active Advisory at UBS Global Wealth Management. In his capacity as Head of Active Advisory, he was responsible for all client-facing specialists in SEA, including the Active Portfolio Advisors, Investment Consultants, Investment Funds and Alternatives Specialists. At the regional level, he also provided strategic directions and regional coordination to all the Active Portfolio Advisors in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. Before joining Wealth Management in 2017, Tommy spent sixteen years at UBS Investment Bank, most recently serving as the Head of Credit Sales for APAC. He was responsible for leading the firm’s corporate bond and credit derivative business in the region. Earlier in his career, Tommy headed the European Credit Strategy team in London and served as a Senior Credit Derivative Trader in the United States. He started his Wall Street career in 2001, spending the first six years at as a Macro Strategist. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago, and is a CFA Charterholder.

John Shoemaker is Senior Counsel with Butler Snow in their Singapore office. John has more than 30 years’ experience in tax, legal & regulatory compliance, and is a common law lawyer with educational emphasis on taxation, trusts & estate planning. He also has extensive experience in ensuring multi-jurisdictional compliance for fiduciary product offerings (working with multijurisdictional outside counsel & adapting products for sale in relevant jurisdictions), including product management skills to direct complex products from concept to fully operational status.

Lee Sleight is Head of Business Development, Asia, and is responsible for designing tailored private wealth and succession planning solutions, working closely with Asia-focussed distribution partners, for UHNW clients and their families that protect, preserve and pass on their legacy to future generations. Lee has over 20 years’ experience in the wealth assurance industry across Europe, Asia and Latin America. Joining Lombard International Group in 2004, Lee successfully led the European Complex Case Structuring Team, where he built a unique track record, working in partnership with advisers to global UHNW families to offer Private Placement Life Insurance based solutions catering for their increasingly complex wealth and succession planning needs. Lee is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Born in the UK, Lee has lived in Germany since 2005 and worked in Luxembourg since 2001. A father of 3, Lee is also an avid trail runner and triathlete.

Francis Liu is Chief Executive Officer, Private Clients Asia, and Chief Executive Officer, Singapore. He manages Lombard Odier’s private wealth management activities across its Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo offices. Francis has over 30 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. Prior to joining Lombard Odier, Francis was in UBS Wealth Management in Hong Kong, where he assumed various senior leadership roles within UBS’ APAC wealth management franchise over the last 12 years. Most recently he was Regional Head of UBS’ APAC UHNW business, where he coordinated all regional and country by country Ultra High Net Worth offerings, exposing him to all key Asian markets including South East Asia. Previously, Francis worked as a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch Private Wealth Management across Taipei, Singapore and Hong Kong, where he was responsible for the Greater China region.

Dawn Quek advises on tax and wealth management. She assists high net worth families with their tax, trust and estate planning issues on a multijurisdictional basis, focusing on setting up family offices and using onshore and offshore trust structures and other vehicles to help clients hold and transfer wealth through generations. She advises financial institutions serving such families on issues and regulations that affect their business. She also provides and coordinates regional tax advice for multinational corporations and financial institutions on cross-border transactions and tax restructuring. She has extensive experience in advising on tax issues in respect of mergers and acquisitions, and has assisted many clients in resolving tax disputes. Dawn is also recognised as a key individual in the area of wealth management by leading legal and tax directories including Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.

Lee Wong is Head of Family Services, Asia at Lombard Odier. Lee is responsible for leading Lombard Odier’s wealth planning and family services proposition, which is a key component of the Bank’s growth strategy in the region. Before joining Lombard Odier, Lee amassed over 22 years of experience in the wealth management industry. She joined from Union Bancaire Privée in Singapore, where she was Head of Wealth Planning for South Asia and was responsible for leading a team advising high net worth clients on their family wealth transition, family governance, as well as philanthropic aspirations. Lee is a member of the MAS-EDB Family Office workgroup as well as the Wealth Management Institute’s expert panel on Family Offices. She is a regular trainer for Singapore Management University for IBF certification courses on wealth planning and family office. She is also a trainer for Wealth Management Institute’s family office advisor program. Lee holds a Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Singapore. She is a Chartered Trustee appointed by the Singapore Trustee Association.

Stephen joined KPMG Singapore as a Tax Partner in 2021. He has over 19 years of tax advisory experience and has spent more than half of his career in Singapore. Stephen began his career with a leading Australian law firm where he principally assisted on financial services clients. This includes financing transactions such as sale and leasebacks, structured finance and capital raisings. He has worked in the United Kingdom for a Magic Circle law firm and also in Papua New Guinea. The diversity of Stephen’s experience means that he has advised across a range of industries and has a deep appreciation of principles of international taxation. He has developed particular expertise in the asset management and private client space which has been the focus of his practice in Singapore. Stephen regularly advises UHNW clients on the design and implementation of wealth planning structures including the use of single family offices. He provides Singapore and international tax advice to institutional asset managers on fund formation and investment structuring projects.
