Janus Henderson Bolsters Middle East Operations

Janus Henderson Investors has enhanced its operations in the Middle East by appointing Marwan AlSaleh as a Senior Advisor.

Based in Dubai, Marwan will utilize his extensive knowledge of the investment sector and his vast experience in sovereign wealth to provide strategic guidance and advice to both the company and its clients.

Marwan's previous tenure includes serving as Head of Fixed Income at the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) from 2016 to 2021, managing the KIA’s Fixed Income asset allocation. He also spent 16 years at the Kuwait Investment Office (KIO) in London, holding various senior roles and serving as a member of the Investment Policy Committee. His career began in 1985 in KIA's Treasury Department, and he has held multiple board positions across the GCC, Europe, and Africa, including significant financial institutions. Marwan is an alumnus of Eckerd College, Florida, and brings over 36 years of experience in the financial sector.

AlFaras, who founded Janus Henderson's Middle East office in 2012, highlighted the firm's strong client relationships across various countries in the region.

Notable recent visitors include Andy Acker, Portfolio Manager and Head of the firm’s Healthcare franchise, Philip Maymin, Director of Asset Allocation Strategies, Nobel Laureate Myron Scholes, the firm’s Chief Investment Strategist, and CEO Ali Dibadj.
