Currently, Mr. Nicholas runs his own private investment vehicle but prior to 2015, he was the Head of Global Special Opportunities Group, with primary responsibility for JPMorgan’s principal activities across different geographies. His employment with J P Morgan lasted over a 17 years where initially he was the Asian Head of Credit Trading and Sales . During the latter years Mr. Nicholas was a permanent member of the JPMorgan Asian Executive Committee. He has 32 years of experience working inside Investment Banks, over 27 of which have been spent working in Asia. Mr. Nicholas joined the bank in 1998 as part of the Emerging Market global franchise and a key member of the management team. Until June of 2004 he was responsible for leading JPMorgan’s credit business in the Region, with responsibility for sales, trading, syndication and research. Since then, he has focused on the firm’s growth in the distressed debt and principal investment arenas. He left JPMorgan in August 2015. Before joining JPMorgan, Mr. Nicholas worked for Lehman Brothers for 5 years where he ran both syndicate and trading, spearheaded the development of the Asian Dragon Bond market and played a leading role in the Peoples’ Republic of China inaugural issue. In 1996 he moved to Credit Agricole Indosuez where he held the position of Regional Head of Fixed Income for Asia, a franchise which was primarily focused on the development of the local currency bond markets throughout the region.

Thomas Scott is the Group Head of Real Estate at Henley & Partners and a member of the Management Board. Originally from the UK, Thomas has lived in the United States and South Africa and now works at the firm’s UK office. Prior to joining Henley & Partners, Thomas worked as the Managing Director of a leading property developer in the Caribbean. He also established and ran a private office at a leading real estate company, where he provided a personalized service of real estate solutions and advice for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families across the globe. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree and an Executive Master’s in Business Administration (cum laude) from the University of Cape Town

Xin Yan Low is a Portfolio Manager on the Global Property Equities Team at Janus Henderson Investors Before assuming her current position in 2021 she was an associate portfolio manager with the team Prior to joining Henderson as an investment analyst in 2014 Xin Yan spent seven years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an equity research analyst covering Singapore and Indonesian property equities She began her career in 2005 as a management consultant at Monitor Group Xin Yan holds a BSc degree ( in economics from the London School of Economics She has 16 years of financial industry experience

Maria has 16 years of senior corporate, asset and real estate backed underwriting experience as the managing director of a team of 10 underwriters within a London-based Challenger Bank and partner at a Euro 500M pan-European private debt fund. Maria has 20 years through the cycle lending experience across Europe, with a focus on the UK and DACH regions, having previously worked at PwC, Hermes Pensions Management, Henderson Asset Management, Indigo Capital LLP and B&C PLC. Maria has an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge and is a CFA Charterholder (2003).

Gareth Nicholson joined Nomura in July 2021 as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management for International Wealth Management. He is based in Singapore. Gareth works closely with Nomura’s Global Markets and Investment Banking businesses to expand the firm’s product offerings and spearhead a streamlined, solutions-driven coverage effort for high-net-worth clients, external asset managers and family offices. With a strong institutional investment background, he creates and manages DPM strategies for fixed income, equity and multi-asset portfolios, while providing risk management support. Gareth has over 16 years of experience in financial markets. Prior to Nomura, he was Head of Fixed Income DPM at Bank of Singapore, where he was also a member of its investment committee. Before that, he was with Aberdeen Standard Investments for almost 10 years as a fixed income trader and an Asian credit portfolio manager. He began working in finance in 2004 as a derivatives specialist with Deutsche Asset Management after an early career as a mathematics teacher. Gareth holds a BSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Johannesburg. He was born and raised in East London, South Africa.
