Pictet Appoints Ann Mirjam Levy Duvernay as North Asia Wealth Management Head and Hong Kong CEO

Pictet has named Ann Mirjam Levy Duvernay as the new head of its wealth management division for North Asia, according to information from finews.asia. Her appointment follows the retirement of Alex Ng, a 35-year industry veteran.

Starting January 1, 2025, Levy Duvernay will also serve as the CEO of Pictet's Hong Kong branch and will relocate to Hong Kong on September 1 to assume her duties. She will report to Victor Aerni, the CEO for Asia.

Levy Duvernay joined Pictet in 2017, initially leading finance and business insights for the asset management division, and currently serves as the head of group internal audit. Her previous experience includes a 14-year tenure at KPMG, where she advised banking and asset management clients.

Alex Ng, who will retire at the end of 2024, plans to stay on until at least the end of 2025 as a senior advisor, continuing his engagement with clients and the local team. Ng has a notable background, having spent five years at Pictet and over 35 years in the banking sector with stints at Credit Suisse, UBS, and Citibank.

In a related move, Christophe Kratzer will succeed Levy Duvernay as the head of group internal audit by May 1, 2025. Kratzer brings 25 years of audit experience in financial firms and is currently a partner at PwC. Until his appointment, Pascal John, who has been with Pictet since 2001, will serve as the interim deputy head of group internal audit.

A spokesperson for the bank confirmed these details upon inquiry.
