JP Morgan Private Bank Names New China Head

JP Morgan Private Bank has announced the appointment of a new head for its China operations. Florence Kui, previously with Goldman Sachs, will take over the role at the end of May.

She will be based in Hong Kong and report to Harshika Patel, the CEO of JP Morgan's Asia Private Bank and the Hong Kong CEO.

Kui will oversee the growth and leadership of the team responsible for meeting the offshore wealth management needs of ultra-high-net-worth individuals in China. She brings extensive experience from her tenure at Goldman Sachs, where she served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Asset Management division in Asia Pacific and Deputy Head of the Private Wealth Management business for North Asia.

Prior to her 25-year stint at Goldman Sachs, Kui worked at PwC and EY in Hong Kong and Canada. This leadership transition follows the announcement of Grace Lin’s retirement, who will be stepping down from her position in mid-2024 after eight years with JP Morgan Private Bank. Additionally, last October saw Harshika Patel appointed as the new Asia CEO of JP Morgan Private Bank, with Kam Shing Kwang appointed as chairwoman for North Asia.
