Cayman Islands to Establish Presence in Singapore for Asian Market Outreach

In an effort to tap into the vast business potential of the Asian market, the Cayman Islands government has revealed plans to inaugurate an office in Singapore by the close of 2023.

This strategic decision was detailed in a report by the Financial Times, which referenced insights from André Ebanks, the Financial Services Minister of the Cayman Islands.

The decision to choose Singapore is partly attributed to its well-regarded neutral stance in the Asian region. While Singapore was selected for this expansion, the minister acknowledged the significance of Hong Kong, emphasizing its status as a key regional hub, and mentioned that it was among the options deliberated upon during the decision-making process.
