Alexander Benard is the Chief Executive Officer of Schulze Global Investments, a private equity firm focused on the world’s most dynamic frontier markets. He sits on the firm’s various investment and credit committees, through which he looks at deals across a wide range of countries in Asia and Africa. Alexander previously worked as an attorney at Cleary Gottlieb and as a Managing Director of Gryphon Partners. He is an active commentator on political and macroeconomic trends in frontier markets, having published for the Wall Street Journal and Forbes. Alexander holds a Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School.
