Profile:

A value investor at heart, Tommaso has been managing institutional, family and individual wealth over a 17-year long career. He began in investment banking with UniCredit Group in Milan and Merrill Lynch and UBS Investment Bank in London, originating institutional equity and debt issuances and contributing on macroeconomic research papers. As the global financial crisis of 2008 hit Western markets, Tommaso moved on to advise wealth management clients in Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore with both boutique and large operators. As he completed his MBA in Hong Kong in 2014, Tommaso continued to manage capital as a portfolio manager for large family offices in East Asia, running concentrated, high conviction portfolios. The underlying investment philosophy is Value Investing, which over the years has been modified to include a strong quantitative overlay made of proprietary algorithms. Today Tommaso manages the discretionary and advisory investment services at Index & Cie, based on deep fundamental research capabilities enhanced by quantitative market optimization. He obtained his MBA from Hong Kong UST during which he focused on Value Investing at London Business School, and his Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts from Bocconi University, Italy.
