Fiona specialises in complex tax-efficient structuring of clients’ personal and business assets in multiple jurisdictions and international trust issues for high net worth individuals.

In addition to being a private client lawyer, Fiona is dual qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser.  Fiona has an in-depth understanding of the personal tax needs of her high net worth clients. She has a great deal of experience in working with families with complex asset-holding structures and diverse tax profiles.  Her expertise includes UK personal tax, estate planning for both UK and international entrepreneurs, offshore and onshore trust advice and creation, tax efficient structuring of UK property transactions, residence and domicile issues, the remittance basis of taxation, pre-arrival tax planning, succession strategies for global assets, assisting families with inter-generational discussions and the composition of family constitutions and UK Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Fiona also advises charities and philanthropists on the establishment, regulation and operation of UK charities and the tax benefits of charitable giving.

In addition to private individuals and charities Fiona advises individual and corporate trustees, private banks and family offices.

Fiona joined MTG in August 2010 from PwC where she specialised in international private client tax.
