Profile:
Kevin Barr is an Executive Vice President and member of the Executive Management Committee at SEI. During more than 16 years with the company, he has held various leadership positions. He is currently the President and Head of SEI’s Investment Management Unit, responsible for overseeing the strategy, direction and implementation of more than $170 billion in assets across mutual funds, multi-asset strategies, separately managed accounts and alternative investments. The company is one of the world’s largest providers of manager-of-manager investment solutions. It is an industry leader in goals-based investing strategies and turnkey asset management solutions.
In addition, Kevin oversees the firm’s Asset Management Distribution group. In this role, he manages the strategic direction of a global sales and service organization that distributes SEI’s investment solutions to large financial intermediaries, including private banks, broker dealers, and insurance companies. Asset Management Distribution has office is the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.
Kevin is also the President of SIDCO, SEI’s Broker/Dealer. This group provides institutional trading and execution services to as well as mutual fund distribution services for SEI and third-party fund complexes.
His background includes six years as Executive Vice President and CFO of a publically held bank headquartered in the Midwest. In this position he was also responsible for heading up the bank’s wholly owned brokerage, trust, and insurance entities. Prior to that, he spent more than six years as a Senior Consulting Manager for the National Financial Services Consulting Unit of Deloitte & Touche.
Kevin has been featured in The Financial Times, Barron’s, U.S. News and World Report and variety of other publications. He received his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and his Master of Science from Purdue University. He services on the board of directors for a variety of SEI-affiliated and non-affiliated companies.
