Julius Baer Appoints Benjamin Sim as Head of Greater China Operations in Singapore

Julius Baer has announced the appointment of a new head for its Greater China operations in Singapore.

Benjamin Sim has been named as the head of Greater China Singapore, starting June 1. He will report to Yee Kim Tan, the market head for the region.

Sim joined Julius Baer in 2016 and has held significant roles within the company, including deputy branch manager and chief operating officer (COO) in Singapore, and previously, COO in Hong Kong. Before his tenure at Julius Baer, Sim worked at Credit Suisse and HSBC.

In his new role, Sim will continue to serve as deputy branch manager in Singapore. Meanwhile, COO Asia Andreas Zingg will assume the position of COO Singapore.

Yee Kim Tan emphasized that Sim's appointment is key to reinforcing Julius Baer’s commitment to the Greater China market in Singapore. Under Sim’s leadership, the company aims to strengthen its market presence, expand its client base, and foster innovation, thereby consolidating its status as a leading wealth manager in the region.
