Dennis Khoo is currently a Managing Director in UOB, and the Regional Head of the Digital Bank and Strategic Initiatives Office. He is responsible of the strategy, growth and delivery of the retail digital banking business in UOB's footprint. Prior to this role, he was responsible for UOB’s consumer banking business in Singapore.
Prior to joining UOB in October 2013, Dennis was the Head of Consumer Banking for Standard Chartered Singapore, where In the 12 years that Dennis was with the bank, he have helped achieve a 3x growth in income and 2x growth in profit, and contributed to making the bank one of the largest consumer banking businesses in Singapore.
Dennis has been responsible for many of the innovations in the consumer banking industry in Singapore - e$aver, XtraSaver, Retail Bonds, Step-up TD, Pay-Any-Card, Breakthrough marketing campaigns like 15% Dining cashback everywhere, 2-day Mortgage Service Guarantee, UOB Income Builder, One Account, Mighty App, Next day online credit card service guarantee, Winner of Asian Banker best deposit linked account, Winner of Global Finance best online bank.
Dennis Khoo is an accomplished consumer banker and speaker in innovation and leadership. He has the advantage of experience in both Information Technology and Banking, which provides a unique vantage point in crafting a banking strategy for a digital world.
Dennis holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. He also has a Masters in Business Research and a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia.
Dennis is a keen student of Leadership, Innovation and Strategy, and has participated in many discussions, panels and talks on these subject matters. Dennis is a certified Gallup Strengths Coach and was awarded the IBF Distinguished Fellow Award in 2012.The IBF Distinguished Fellow is the epitome of professional stature, integrity and achievement. It is the highest certification mark for a financial practitioner in Singapore under the IBF Standards.
