Profile:

Dr Henri Leimer is the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), LGT Private Banking, Asia Pacific.

In this role, he is able to call upon years of client and Asian management experience, to help add to the group’s success in the region. He is tasked with developing new business interests for the bank in Asia Pacific as well as maintaining the bank’s exemplary customer service, staff retention and overall development.

Prior to the management role, Henri was the chief representative for the group in Asia Pacific and the CEO of LGT Bank Hong Kong. He joined LGT Bank in Liechtenstein AG as senior representative in 1994.

Having been involved in commercial banking, investment banking, risk management and finance since 1987, Henri began his career with the Swiss Bank Corporation in Switzerland. He was then transferred to work in the bank’s London, New York and Hong Kong (1990) offices, before being promoted to the role of director of asset management, Hong Kong operations.

Henri has a Doctorate degree from St. Gallen Business School in Switzerland. He received it for writing a dissertation on strategic banking, which was published by Gabler in Germany.
