Having grown with Malaysia’s first full-service private bank since its inception, Carolyn was instrumental in expanding the private bank’s presence in Malaysia, in line with the firm’s aspiration to become one of the region’s leading private banks. Having been with the bank for close to 17 years, Carolyn Leng has undertaken a new role as Regional Head of Sales for CIMB Private Banking where she is responsible for expanding the CIMB regional private banking business, particularly in Indonesia and strengthening sales efforts in the distribution of securities for capital market transactions. Prior to joining CIMB Private Banking, Carolyn led the unit at Commerce Trust, now known as CIMB Principal, one of the country’s largest unit trust companies. Before that, she was with Templeton Management Limited, one of Canada’s largest mutual funds, where she managed sales for British Columbia and Alberta. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons) in Economics from the University of Toronto and completed various Financial Planning courses.
