Vistra Strengthens Executive Leadership Team
Vista has announced the strengthening of its Executive leadership team with the appointment of a new Chief Commercial Officer and Regional Managing Director, with the appointments commencing their roles as of mid-October 2019.
The leading global trust, corporate services and fund administration provider has revealed that William Douglas has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer, and Derek Kemp as Regional Managing Director of the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Middle East.
Douglas will be responsible for the commercial management and development of Vistra’s business globally, bringing nearly two decades of experience to his new role. He has extensive international experience in creating and leading commercial teams and building strong client-focused programmes in multinational companies.
Prior to joining Vistra, Douglas was the Chief Marketing Officer at JLL, where he oversaw the firm’s global marketing function, as well as that of the EMEA region covering 23 countries. In addition to his time at JLL, Douglas was affiliated with Samsung, where he was the Head of its European Enterprise Business, and Blackberry, where he was most recently the Vice President of Global Commercial Strategy, amongst other roles.
In his new role, Kemp will be responsible for the leadership and development of Vistra’s businesses in the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Middle East, supporting the broader growth ambition of the organisation globally.
Kemp brings over three decades of experience in technology consultancy, gathered across a range of international senior management roles spanning Europe, APAC and the Middle East. Prior to joining Vistra, he was most recently an Executive Vice President with Capgemini, heading business services for EMEA and APAC; he was concurrently serving as Global Sales Officer.
Of the appointments, Vistra’s Chief Executive Officer, Alan Brown, said that “We are excited to welcome William to our team. He continued, saying that “Comprising more than 600 employees across 10 offices, the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and Middle East combined accounts for about 20% of Vistra’s global business. The combination of Derek’s proven leadership skills and results-driven approach will be instrumental in building on Vistra’s outstanding reputation in the industry.”
Based in London, both Douglas and Kemp will also sit on Vistra’s Executive Committee, directly reporting to Brown.
