UBS launches thematic China research platform

UBS Research has announced the launch of its new thematic research product, China 360.

Powered by proprietary UBS Evidence Lab data, China 360 will provide a direct window into one of the world’s most dynamic economies, connecting the dots across macro and industry themes to navigate a rapidly-evolving landscape. The research products will complement the deep local expertise of UBS's #1 ranked China research business among international banks, the firm said in a press release.

Damien Horth, Global Head of New Business Initiatives, UBS Global Research, said: “China 360 seeks to build on the unique position UBS has developed in China over the past two decades and will translate not only in to written product but also bespoke access in the form of high touch expert access and bespoke tours.”

Led by Natalie Cade, former Deputy Head & Research Director of China Reality Research, the China 360 team will be made up of experienced researchers across a range of key areas, including internet, TMT, consumer, gaming, fintech, property, financials and macroeconomics.

“Collectively, the team has in excess of 70 years of experience, deep industry knowledge and is supported by an on-the-ground network which will help provide our clients with insight into a wide range of key trends encompassing inter alia technology & innovation, demographics & social change, rising wealth & new consumers to China’s economic transition,” said Cade.

“The team will use UBS Evidence Lab data on thousands of companies to help contextualise our perspective and provide clients evidence-based insight as we aim to help them make better investment decisions. Globally, Evidence Lab is made up of hundreds of experts spanning a wide range of specialisations,” she continued.
