StashAway announces new appointment to Board

StashAway, a Singapore-headquartered digital wealth management firm, has announced the appointment of Hwee Hoon Sim to its Board of Directors.

Sim was previously the Regional COO for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, a role which she held for six years, in addition to her role as Singapore CEO for the Bank.

In addition, Sim has held roles with JPMorgan, with whom she was a Managing Director, Regional CFO and Head of Business Risk Management for the private bank, according to her LinkedIn, as well as Singapore Consultancy.

Prior to her appointment to the Board of Directors, Sim worked with StashAway in an advisory capacity, and is the sixth Director to be appointed to the FinTech’s Board, where she will now sit as an Independent Director.

In addition to her role with StashAway, she is also a Board Director for Income Insurance, a role which she took on in 2017.

StashAway relayed that it had appointed Sim on the firm’s LinkedIn, saying: “(we are) excited to have Ms Hwee Hoon Sim on our Board of Directors!”
