StanChart's commercial, private banking chief to exit

Anna Marrs, Standard Chartered's Head of Commercial and Private Banking, will leave the group later this year.

Anna Marrs, Standard Chartered's Head of Commercial and Private Banking, will leave the group later this year, said a statement issued on March 21. 

According to the statement, Marrs will return to London to work with another (unnamed) financial services company.

Marrs, who is also region CEO for Asean and South Asia (ASA), will continue in this specific role until May 31, 2018, handing over the reins to Judy Hsu, who is currently CEO, Singapore. 

Hsu will remain CEO, Singapore until a successor is appointed.

The bank also said that Didier von Daeniken would continue to run Private Banking and Wealth Management, and will report to Ben Hung, Regional CEO, Greater China and North Asia and CEO, Retail Banking for his Wealth responsibilities. 

For his Private Banking responsibilities, Daeniken will report to Tracy Clarke, Regional CEO, Europe and Americas. 

Commercial banking will now report to Simon Cooper, CEO, Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), the banks said.

Marrs will step down from the Group’s Management Team on May 31 and will continue to work with Hsu, Hung, Clarke and Cooper as needed until she leaves the Group in September.
