Schroders and Robowealth Launches Strategic Partnership to Advance Digital Wealth Solutions for Investors in Thailand

Collaboration will offer Thai investors convenient access to suite of innovative solutions, designed and advised by a global investment powerhouse.

Schroders Singapore and Thailand-based Robowealth today announced a strategic partnership to launch a range of new digital wealth solutions for investors in Thailand.

This exciting collaboration will see the two entities working closely together to co-develop tailored digital wealth solutions and educational content, to help Thai investors make more informed decisions aligned with their long-term investment objectives.

Recognising the wide-ranging financial needs and varying risk appetites of Thai investors, the partnership aims to provide Thai investors unparalleled access to holistic bespoke portfolios, tailored to their investment goals and preferences.

The design of the portfolios and the selection of the underlying funds will be advised by Schroders, a global asset manager with market-leading expertise and experience. A cornerstone in the solution design is the leveraging of Schroders’ world-class institutional capabilities in developing multi-asset solutions, which Robowealth can then extend to retail investors in Thailand.

The portfolios will be designed to invest dynamically across a diversified range of asset classes (including alternatives and currencies), sectors, themes and styles, with active downside risk management, to deliver sustainable outcomes to Thai investors.

The solutions will be offered to Thai investors through Robowealth’s digital platforms. Robowealth is a leading specialist in developing wealth tech solutions in Thailand, specifically providing model portfolio services and mutual fund investment services across various platforms and brandings.

The partnership will initially launch with a dynamic model portfolio offering on Robowealth’s “odini BLACK” platform – targeted at investors with a minimum investment capital of USD 15,000 – using Thailand-domiciled funds only. The next phase, scheduled for roll-out later this year, will incorporate an open-architecture suite of curated offshore funds, which will in turn empower Thai investors with access to a broader range of investible options.

There are also future plans to extend the solutions to other Robowealth platforms, as well as collaborate with Robowealth’s partners.

Mr Arthit Thongchareon, Head of Thailand Business, Schroders, commented: “The Thai market has one of the fastest-growing rates of digital adoption in Southeast Asia, driven by an emerging digitally-savvy population. We anticipate that digital wealth management will play an increasingly pivotal role for investors in Thailand, and hence this collaboration with Robowealth is an important step forward for us. This will enable us to stay ahead of the evolving Thai investment landscape, and at the same time meet the fast-changing needs of Thai investors, who are looking for and will appreciate greater access to bespoke solutions.”

Ms Lily Choh, Singapore Country Head, Schroders, commented: "This exciting new partnership represents an integral part of our strategic plan to advance our ambition of delivering an innovative digital investment experience to Thai investors. We have always believed that digitalisation will be the core of investment solutions going forward, and the rapid development and adoption of digital wealth solutions in Thailand, and broader Asia, underscores our foresight. As investors become more attuned to the vast amounts of opportunities and information available, curated data-led solutions as well as bespoke content is crucial and will drive future demand. We are committed to innovation and developing cutting-edge solutions that stay ahead of investor needs. We are pleased to have found an established digital wealth partner in Robowealth, who shares our vision and offers extensive on-the-ground knowledge. By combining our global expertise with their local insights and technological advancements, we believe we can offer investors optimal guidance and solutions that will help them achieve their long-term financial goals."

Mr Chonladet Khemarattana, Group Chief Executive Officer, Robowealth, commented: "Robowealth is an established specialist in digital wealth solutions in Thailand, and we believe this collaboration with global investment powerhouse Schroders will be genuinely beneficial to our clients. Providing investors with timely investment recommendations and content via digital means can help investors make more informed decisions, and capture the growth and income opportunities that can contribute towards their wealth accumulation objectives. Whilst our partnership with Schroders will initially start with the launch of a differentiated model portfolio on the odini BLACK platform, our goal is to eventually expand the service to cover the other digital wealth platforms we manage, and avail our services to a wider range of investors in Thailand, many of whom are increasingly seeking sustainable growth opportunities and diversification in their investment portfolios."
