Robeco, the international asset management firm, has announced the appointment of Nayan Patel as the CEO of its Singapore operation.

Patel first joined the firm in Q4 2014, having been appointed as Vice President of Institutional Business for Hong Kong and ASEAN, holding responsibility for developing the firm relationship with institutions in the region. He relocated from Hong Kong to Singapore in 2016. Prior to Patel’s appointment as CEO, his title was most recently Executive Director, Institutional Business, Southeast Asia, according to his LinkedIn.

Prior to joining Robeco, Patel was most recently Vice President, Regional Business Development at Harvest Global Investments, the international arm of Harvest Fund Management, having been based in Hong Kong. In addition, he has been affiliated with firms such as Kames Capital, now Aegon Asset Management, and Fidelity International.

Patel will reportedly report to Graham Elliot in his new role, according to an article by Finews Asia, who’s title is ‘Managing Director, Head of Sales Asia’, having been appointed to the role in Q2 2017.

Tom Keenan exits the firm after nearly three years with Robeco. He has since been appointed as Head of Retail Distribution with MLC Asset Management, one of Australia’s largest investment managers with over USD200 billion in assets under management.
