Martin Matsui appointed Non-Executive Director of Pictet Asset Management

Pictet Asset Management has announced the appointment of Martin Matsui as a non-executive director to the board of Pictet Asset Management Holding SA, the Swiss holding company that controls all the asset management entities in the Pictet Group, with effect from 1st December 2021.

Martin has a wealth of experience having worked in financial services for 40 years. For the last 20 years he worked at the HKMA, the territory’s de facto central bank. While at the HKMA, his responsibilities included being the Head for its External Managers Division. More recently as Chief Strategy Officer, Martin was responsible for the asset allocation for the Exchange Fund and its Exchange Fund Investment Office which manages Hong Kong’s foreign reserves. During this past year he was advisor to the Chief Executive of the Exchange Fund Investment Office.

From December 2021 the Pictet Asset Management board will consist of eight members: Renaud de Planta, Chairman of Pictet Asset Management, Laurent Ramsey, Co-CEO of Pictet Asset Management, Xavier Barde, CRO of the Pictet Group, and five non-executive directors, Rolf Banz, Nobel Gulati and Susanne Haury von Siebenthal, Jacques de Saussure and Martin Matsui. Sébastien Eisinger, Co-CEO of Pictet Asset Management, is a permanent guest to the Board.
