M&G Investments appoints new Head of Distribution, Asia ex-Japan

M&G Investments has announced the appointment of Berny Lin as Head of Distribution, Asia ex-Japan – a newly created role.

In this role, Lin will be responsible for deepening and growing M&G’s wholesale and institutional presence in the region, leading teams based in Hong Kong and Singapore to service clients across Asia.

Lin will focus on developing and strengthening relationships with institutional and intermediary clients, including private banks, external asset managers and institutional investors. Lin will be based in Singapore and will report to Loretta Ng, Head of Asia, M&G Investments.

Lin joins M&G with more than 20 years of asset management experience in Asia. He was most recently at Eastspring Investments, where he was Chief Distribution Officer and Chief Marketing Officer since 2011. He also served on Eastspring Taiwan’s board of directors since 2015. Prior to this, he spent six years at Deutsche Asset Management in Hong Kong and Taiwan, leading the institutional sales team in Taiwan.
