Leonteq makes changes to Asia leadership

Leonteq has reshuffled it’s Asia leadership team following the departure of Jeremy Ng, who has departed the firm to pursue new opportunities outside the firm.

Ng was with Leonteq for over 4.5 years, where he was the Managing Director and CEO, Singapore, for Leonteq Securities.

A spokesperson for Leonteq has said of Ng’s departure “(he) has significantly contributed to Leonteq’s development and growth in Asia on many fronts. We are grateful for his valuable contributions over many years and wish him all the best in the future.”

Leonteq is said to have begun to search for a permanent CEO for Asia. In the meantime, Sandro Dorigo, Founding Partner, will become interim CEO, Singapore, and Christian Gmuer will has been named as acting Head of Sales, Asia.

Dennis Wan has also been hired by Leonteq as CEO, Hong Kong, following a year-long search to fill the role. He will report to Gmuer.

A Leonteq memo stated “Wan’s appointment underlines Leonteq’s commitment to pursuing further growth and continuously strengthening our business in Asia. With his senior relationships all over Asia and his in-depth knowledge about the local markets, we are convinced he will add great value for Leonteq in Hong Kong in particular.”

Wan joined Leonteq from Commerzbank, where he was a Managing Director. He brings over twenty five years of experience to his new role, having also been a Managing Director for JPMorgan.
