Ranojoy Dutta is joining the Singaporean branch of the bank as the Head of Retail Products. Dutta has been with HSBC for 6 years, previously being based in Hong Kong, where he was the Head of Regional Growth, Global Transaction Banking products and Services. His responsibilities at HSBC Singapore will be to oversee the bank’s product teams, which include mortgages, loans, payment solutions, credit cards and deposits.

Ian Yim has changed roles within the Singapore branch of the bank, previously working as the Head of Premier International. He has now been appointed as the Head of Wealth and International, servicing both domestic customers, and those who require international banking services, according to a report by the Business Times.

Yim has been with the bank since 2007, and has two decades of experience covering commercial banking, wealth sales management, and product management and marketing. In his previous role as Head of Premier International, he oversaw the strong performance of the division whilst undergoing a transformational phase.

The Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management for HSBC Singapore, Anurag Mathur, has stated that “since we embarked on our new strategy, our business has grown exponentially and, to sustain this trajectory, we need laser-like focus on delivering excellent customer service. This means generating deep customer insights, designing and delivering unique products and propositions, and having the agility to meet changing customer needs. It also requires having the right structure and people in place.”

Alongside these appointments, HSBC Singapore has also announced the appointment of two new directors to its board: Josh Bottomley, who is HSBC Global Head of Digital, Retail Banking and Wealth Management, and Penny Goh, a Co-Chairman and Senior Partner of Allen & Gledhill, where she also heads the firm’s Corporate Real Estate Practice.
