HSBC names new Singapore CEO

Wong Kee Joo appointed as HSBC’s new Singapore CEO.

HSBC has announced that Kee Joo Wong is appointed CEO for HSBC Singapore, effective 1 June, subject to regulatory approval. Kee Joo, in his most recent role as Asia Pacific head for Global Liquidity and Cash Management, brings strong experience in developing digital solutions for wholesale clients and supporting trade and investment flows between mainland China and ASEAN.

Singapore is central to HSBC's ambitious growth plans in the region. The company will be increasing investment in both people and technology as it continues to strengthen wholesale banking services, particularly for multinational corporations headquartered in the country, and to grasp the growing wealth management opportunities in South East Asia and beyond.
