Finantix announces appointment of CFO

Finantix, a global provider of digital enabling software for the banking, wealth management and insurance sectors, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Savage as Chief Financial Officer.

Savage’s appointment as CFO is the latest in a series of senior hires made by Finantix to support its continued expansion across the European, Australasian and North American markets, the FinTech said in a press release. The appointments follow the strategic investment in Finantix by the global private equity firm Motive Partners, announced in December 2018.

Reporting directly to the Board, Savage will reportedly lead the finance team and have major input into strategic plans. His extensive experience of instilling strong operating and KPI management in rapidly growing businesses backed by private equity investors make him ideal for the role.

Ian Savage, CFO, Finantix, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Finantix as it moves to its next growth stage under institutional ownership. Our shareholders bring a wealth of experience and wisdom to complement an already dynamic and forward-looking management team. I passionately believe that in developing a world- class finance team to work with the business as true partners we can add enhanced value in the journey ahead.”

Savage brings nearly two decades of experience to his new role, having previously been affiliated with PwC. He brings CFO and Finance Director experience to the position, having been responsible for driving growth in SME and mid-market FinTech and Financial Services businesses, says Finantix.

His recent roles include three years as CFO at CashFlows Europe, a Pollen Street Capital backed FinTech payments business, where revenue quadrupled during his tenure. Prior to this he was CFO at Sigma Financial, backed by Cyrus capital, which was a start up in the Credit Management space. He is a seasoned Private Equity CFO having also worked with Anacap Financial Partners a specialist Financial Services investor.

He will be joined by new hire Paul Strudley who has been named as Head of Group Finance. Strudley comes to Finantix from Reflexis Systems where he was EMEA Finance Director, and he brings particular skills in systems implementation and statutory reporting. He will be responsible for delivery of the company wide Netsuite project and IFRS adoption.

Christine Ciriani, CEO and Chief Commercial Officer, Finantix, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome both Ian and Paul to the Finantix family. As a member of the senior management team Ian’s experience will bring substantial benefits to our expanding financial operations. As our new CFO, his track record in creating best-in-class finance teams to support the business and our clients will be invaluable as we embark on the latest exciting phase of the Finantix growth journey.”
