Citi Appoints Harry Peng as Head of Prime, Futures and Securities Services

Peng will be responsible for delivering on the strategic initiatives and business plans for Citi’s PFSS business in Hong Kong and China.

Citi announced today the appointment of Harry Peng as Head of Prime, Futures and Securities Services (PFSS) for Hong Kong and China, effective immediately. Peng will relocate to Hong Kong from Shanghai, where he was the Head of PFSS for Citibank (China) Co. Ltd since 2014. In this role,

He reports to David Russell, Head of Prime, Futures and Securities Services for Asia Pacific & Head of Markets and Securities Services for Hong Kong. Commenting on Peng’s appointment, Russell said, “As the Hong Kong and China securities market infrastructures connect more closely, this role will enable Citi to offer seamless solutions to our clients. Harry’s product knowledge and experience in managing cross-border investment management relationships make him the ideal choice to lead the PFSS business forward in these two markets. He will be working closely with key stakeholders at Citi to further ramp up our client offerings and continue strengthening our control and regulatory infrastructure in Hong Kong and China”.

Peng joined Citi in New York in 2005 where he served on Citi’s hybrid fund derivative trading desk responsible for managing the firm’s trading risk positions in funds and fund-linked investment products. He moved to Hong Kong in 2009 to join the Multi Asset Group for Citi Global Markets Asia Pacific where his responsibilities included fund solution product and strategy development. Harry graduated from Beijing University and subsequently obtained his M.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers University, and M.S. in Financial Engineering from Columbia University
