Citi appoints Aditya Sharma as Asia Head of Custody

Citi has announced the appointment of Aditya Sharma to the role of Asia Head of Custody following the move of Aashish Mishra to become the Asia TTS Financial Institutions Sales Head earlier this year.

Aditya moves into the role from his current position as Head of Securities Services for South Asia (India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh), which he managed successfully for the last four years, growing revenues, acquiring large domestic clients and transitioning global custodian and sovereign mandates under his leadership. Over the years, Aditya has been instrumental in launching listed derivative products and driving various capital market advocacy initiatives around settlement compression, collateral optimization, ease of market access for foreign investors, interoperability, algorithmic trading, etc.

Over his 19 years career at Citi, Aditya has worked in multiple roles across ICG, heading the India FCX business (Markets), Chief of Staff to India CCO, Product and Sales Management for DCC, Sales for TTS and Operations roles in TTS and Markets.

Aditya will report to Matthew Bax globally, David Russell regionally and will be based in Singapore. A search for Aditya’s replacement will commence immediately.
