Capital Group announces hire of Head of Digital for Asia
Veronique Cornu has been appointed the Head of Digital, Asia-Pacific for Capital Group, a newly created position. Alongside her, Vineeta Rawat has been appointed as digital editor for the investment management firm. Both are to be based in Singapore.
Veronique brings more than 20 years of marketing experience in pan-regional roles, 16 of which have been in Asia. She spent the past four years as Head of Digital in Asia at MetLife. Prior to that, she was Head of Group Digital Marketing at Great Eastern Life. Veronique will be responsible for transforming Capital Group’s digital capabilities to support its sales efforts across Asia. She will report to Derek Perry, Managing Director, Digital who is based in London, and will work closely with Heidi Sutton, Managing Director, Marketing, Asia.
Vineeta, who has held a number of digital webmaster and analyst roles at DBS, UBS and BlackRock, will focus on enhancing Capital Group’s international websites, supporting and executing digital communications with clients, and building out its social media and digital presence.
The Managing Director of Digital at Capital Group, Derek Perry, has said in a press release that “we are delighted to welcome someone of Veronique’s calibre to our expanding digital team. Capital Group is investing in cuttingedge tools and technologies to support our sales efforts across Europe and Asia, and I look forward to working with Veronique and Vineeta in implementing our innovative digital strategy.”

Capital Group has been serving investors in the Asia-Pacific region for more than 30 years. It currently employs more than 280 associates in the region, and has offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
