Amundi announces Senior Appointments, Launches Pioneer Emerging Markets Equity Fund

Amundi Asset Management has announced the appointment of Albert Tse and Marie-Pascale Bonhomme to senior roles, as part of its Singapore operation. Amundi Pioneer has also announced its introduction of a new mutual fund, the Pioneer Emerging Markets Equity Fund.

Albert Tse has been appointed as the asset manager’s Head of Distribution Sales & Marketing for South Asia, based in Singapore. Tse joins Amundi from Schroders, where he was the Head of Intermediary Business for Southeast Asia, as well as heading the Malaysia and Thailand Businesses.

In his role at Schroders, Tse was charged with developing the overall business strategy for opportunities in Malaysia and Thailand, including growing additional channels of business in these markets.

Tse brings nearly two decades of experience to his new role, having first joined Schroders in 2003. Prior to joining Schroders, he spent 2 years at Barclays Capital in Singapore with the Foreign Exchange and Derivatives sales desk.

Bonhomme has been announced as the Head of Business Development and Partnerships for

North Asia and Deputy General Manager of Amundi Investment Advisory (Beijing). She has been with Amundi for 8 years, first joining the asset manager’s Paris operation.

She brings over three decades of experience to her new role, having held positions with Credit Lyonnais and Union des Assurances de Paris, before its acquisition by AXA Insurance.

Bonhomme has gained experience in roles spanning Client Services, Marketing & Communications and Retail Development, also being appointed to Amundi’s Executive Committee and the firm’s Retail Division’s Directors Committee.

The announcement of the appointments coincides with Amundi Pioneer’s launch of its Pioneer Emerging Markets Equity Fund, which is to be managed by the firm’s Paris-based Emerging Markets Equity team, according to a report by Businesswire.

Amundi currently has USD50 billion assets under management, which includes USD13 billion in emerging market equities as of June 2019. The firm’s emerging markets team has 67 investment professionals, including 24 equity portfolio managers and 18 career analysts.
