Alpha FMC reveals key appointments in Asian and Swiss Operations
Paul Tan, Roman Aschwanden and Zoë Sheehan have been revealed to be joining Alpha FMC to perform key roles in the global consultant’s Asia and Switzerland-located operations.
Paul Tan has been announced as a Director for Alpha FMC’s Asia Pacific regional team to support the expansion of the global consulting firm’s APAC business and offices.
Tan joins Alpha from Spencer Stuart, where he was a consultant. Prior to this, Tan was the head of Asia Pacific for Greenwich Associates, working with the financial advisory firm for nearly 5 years; during this time, he was responsible for the franchise’s expansion into the Middle East and India, according to a report by Hedgeweek. He brings over 14 years of experience in the region to his new role.
Alpha’s Executive Director for Asia, Michael Chaille, has said that “Paul’s recruitment will allow us to accelerate the development of our market presence and scale in the region. This great appointment shows further commitment to the creation of a truly local Alpha team in the same mould that has made us successful in other locations.”
On his appointment, Tan has stated that “accepting the opportunity to join the team in Asia was an easy decision, having seen both the cultural fit and then the tangible and specialised expertise the firm brings to clients globally. I am excited to be part of the team at Alpha and promote its growth and localisation in the region.”
The appointment of Tan has coincided with the growth of Alpha’s Zurich operation through the recruitment of Roman Aschwanden and Zoë Sheehan.
Aschwanden has joined Alpha as a principal consultant; he has been appointed to develop the firm’s consultation services on regulatory issues and will oversee the projects surrounding Alpha’s consultation services for pension funds, according to a report by Finews. He brings over 25 years in the asset management space to his new role in Zurich.
Sheehan joins Alpha from BlackRock, where she was involved in business development. In addition, she held positions in IHS Markit and First Derivatives, and has accumulated over a decade of experience in developing risk & performance solutions, portfolio management solutions and trading platforms for investment managers.
