Mr. Vincenzo Trani worked for many years in developing markets across Europe & Central Asia for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), before founding Mikro Kapital Group in 2008. He has contributed to the development of market-leading micro-finance lending processes and practices, and has brought this expertise to his own Company. The idea behind Mikro Kapital is to finance small businesses in emerging markets consistent with & in support of UN Sustainable Development goals. Our Group has a fully owned/integrated end-to-end lending process with our own credit officers on the ground in each country we operate in, and we support many women entrepreneurs (41%+ of our lending book) in predominantly Agribusiness and Service businesses (~70% of our lending) in Rural Communities across Silk Road countries. It’s a uniquely positioned business with highly differentiated characteristics which make it appealing to investors from a number of perspectives. The Mikro Kapital Group, headquartered in Luxembourg, has many long-term Family Office, Multi-Family Office and other mid-tier institutional investors in Switzerland, France, Germany, the UK, Italy and many other countries across Europe, who together comprise the Euro 1.4 billion aggregate AUM investor-base of Mikro Kapital Group. Mikro Kapital Group, a microfinance company financing small businesses, has established itself as one of the most successful initiatives of its kind in this sector in Europe.
