Sam joined Standard Life Investments, in Edinburgh, on the Global Client Group graduate program in 2009 undertaking various responsibilities including managing the dealing of the money market team, supporting the marketing efforts for UK business and European private bank sales before joining the Asia business. Prior to this Sam worked at JP Morgan, in London, within the Futures & Options business. Based in Hong Kong, Sam is an Investment Director responsible for growing and servicing the private markets client base in Asia-Pacific across products within private equity, infrastructure (concessionary and economic), private debt, natural resources and multi-asset private market solutions for Aberdeen Standard Investments. Prior to this Sam was Head of Southeast Asia Institutional Business at Standard Life Investments, since 2015, where he was responsible for developing, and maintaining, profitable business relationships with institutions and investment consultants throughout Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau. Sam holds a BA (Hons) in business and hospitality as well as the CAIA, IMC and IOC professional qualifications.
