Jean-Paul Mergeai joined Temenos in 2010, and has been President for Temenos’ Asia-Pacific, Middle-East-Africa operations since January 2021. He has over 30 years of experience in designing, implementing, supporting or selling Information Technology solutions to banks and financial institutions. Before joining Temenos, Jean-Paul held a number of senior leadership positions at Reuters in Europe, North America, and the Middle East. He joined Odyssey Financial Technologies in 2007 as Sales Director to start the firm’s Global Accounts program and later managed Odyssey’s growing North American operations out of New York until Temenos acquired the leading Private Banking technology firm in 2010. Jean Paul managed Temenos’ global Private Wealth business until 2012 and led North American sales operations until early 2014 before moving to Dubai to manage Temenos’ Middle-East & Africa. In January 2021, his role was expanded to include the Asia Pacific region; he moved to Singapore to lead APAC-MEA’s operations and support all Temenos’ business initiatives. He graduated from the University of Liège Magna Cum Laude with a Masters degree in Linguistics and Information Technology in 1984. He started his career as an Academic specializing in the fields of Lexicography, Machine Translation and Artificial Intelligence as applied to Natural Languages.
