Thailand’s wealth management industry: Rising wealth and sophistication

A total of five panel discussions, four workshops and six presentations formed the event program. Each featured cutting-edge ideas and concepts from leading experts in their respective fields from private banks, financial advisors and technology developers.  Together they formed a comprehensive guide to the state of the global financial markets and examined particular issues relating to the emergence of Thailand as a rapidly rising economic power onto this nuanced playing field.

Krzysztof Maurer, Managing Director of Comarch (Thailand), is an arch proponent of AI, which has become the household name for Artificial Intelligence. Maurer believes AI has a world of relevance and applicability to the global wealth management industry.

Grzegorz Prosowicz, Head of Product Management at Comarch and colleague Anna Sacha, Business Solutions Consultant, know that customer experience plus employee experience equals user experience. They presented a workshop to explain how to align the CX and EX to boost UX for wealth management firms in Asia, and to describe how AI can be the perfect ally to help achieve these objectives.


Taking a global multi-asset approach - the J O Hambro way
Robert Hordon, New York-based Senior Fund Manager with J O Hambro Capital Management presented on how, in contrast to most top-down approaches to multi-asset investing, J O Hambro Capital Management have a differentiated bottom-up strategy, following a ‘value’ philosophy that focuses first and foremost on the preservation of capital by investing with a margin of safety.

Structured products can help HNW investors protect capital and participate in the upside potential of assets or markets. Xavier Burkhardt, Executive Director at Leonteq Securities presented at the Thailand Wealth Management Forum to highlight their appeal in more changeable market conditions.
