Helping Asian Wealth Management Communities interact

We were delighted to host our 7th annual event for the Indian wealth management community – the pre-eminent event of its type.

This was designed specifically for CEOs and senior management, product gatekeepers and business heads from local and universal Private Banks and Retail Banks, along with NBFCs, MFOs, national distributors, IFAs, Registered Investment Advisers and Insurance companies.

We designed this year’s agenda to be refreshed and focused on the following themes –

•    Identifying success stories and best practices – especially from overseas
•    Debating key issues with industry leaders
•    Exploring how we add value to our clients and manage expectations

Key elements of this event –

•    A unique get-together enabling delegates to meet with 250+ leading wealth management practitioners in the local market who are also looking to grow their business – and forge strategic business relationships
•    We only invite the most senior individuals from within the community to speak and attend
•    An unprecedented opportunity to hear from more than 30 local and international speakers who are experts in this space
•    Focused 10-minute presentations, speeches from key individuals across Asia, and 4 interactive panel discussions

We also invited senior wealth management practitioners from overseas to share their insights and experiences in building businesses.

EVENT SUMMARY

Keeping India on track for a bright wealth management future

The country’s wealth management sector has seen impressive growth in AUM over the past couple of years. But investor education, adviser compensation, competency and various other aspects of the industry need scrutiny and improvement to capitalise on the industry’s potential.

EVENT CONTENT - Panel discussions

We held 4 interactive panel discussions throughout the day – which involved 23 senior industry practitioners who we invited to participate and share their thoughts. We have also incorporated into the summaries below the briefing notes which speakers sent to us in advance of the event. Plus, we have included the results of audience polling as well as questions we received from delegates. Taking the wealth management industry forward in India
Creating business models to enable firms across the country to maintain the impressive growth seen in AUM and client numbers in recent years, will depend on more training for advisers, client-centric incentive structures and a way to get investors to place more value in the advice they receive.
