While Asia’s economic growth and private wealth creation have been truly remarkable for the past two decades - even since the pandemic hit - the wealth management market still somewhat lags behind the more mature markets of Europe. One of the key areas for improvement in Asia’s wealth industry centres on the capabilities and skills of the relationship manager (RM). Wealth industry leaders see it as a crucial element to upgrade RM capabilities and productivity as they strive to retain and boost their share of the robust HNW and UHNW markets.
We all know that the client has become far more front and centre of the world of private banking and wealth management, but to deliver client-centricity and a more holistic wealth management offering, the RMs need to be smarter and more professional than ever to win and retain trusted advisor status, which is so central to revenue generation and career longevity
The premise for our Digital Dialogue discussion of July 28 is therefore that as the (RM) will continue to be central to the delivery of the enhanced capabilities and solutions in the Asian wealth management industry, particularly for the HNW and UHNW segments, the RMs need the right digital tools, the right management support, and the right levels of expertise to be able to deliver tomorrow’s wealth management proposition to their increasingly demanding private clients.
In short, the wealth industry is making great efforts to future-focus the RM talent pool, and to support them holistically so that they can deliver the best versions of themselves and the banks and firms they represent. Our panel of experts will debate the various ways in which the RMs can evolve in order to improve outcomes for their clients and to enhance their share of client wallet, as well as their professional satisfaction and career longevity.
