Lee Ng is passionate about finding small ideas that can have big impact for MetLife. Born and raised in Singapore, she spent the last 30 years in the U.S., spending over 20 years in Silicon Valley working in innovation. Lee has relocated to Singapore to join MetLife’s LumenLab.

At LumenLab, Lee leads the Innovation Management Office to leverage past experience in marketing, research and development, manufacturing, business development, consulting, and venture capital, to launch disruptive new businesses for MetLife. As part of the leadership team, Lee brings structure to the management of an innovation portfolio including review and refining new business ideas, and works with MetLife’s in-country experts to develop the plan for testing the new business ideas and assess market potential.

Prior to joining MetLife, Lee spent over 20 years in Silicon Valley. Lee was the Director of Venture Technology at Siemens, working with venture capitalists and innovators to identify and fund innovative technologies through partnerships and joint technology developments. Before this, Lee was part of Agilent’s New Business Creation & Venture Team that brought innovative products to market. In previous roles, she worked at Hewlett Packard and consulted for Fortune 500 technology companies and Ampersand Ventures.

Lee holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin, and both Masters’ and PhD degrees in Materials Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), with a minor in Business.
