UBP hires new South Asia wealth planning director

UBP has appointed Elizabeth Yam as Director, Wealth Planner for South Asia.

Yam will be based in Singapore in her new role and will report to Faye Ong, the South Asia head for Wealth Planning.

Yam joins UBP from HSBC after 12 years, where she was the Wealth Planning Director and Team Head for Relationship Management. 

In her new role, Yam will offer advice on wealth planning, succession planning and trust structures.

UBP has been steadily growing its headcount in the Asia business.

As per estimates, UBP's total AUM in Asia stood at about USD14 billion at the end of 2017, of which USD1.2 billion was in funds.
