Prudential Singapore is expanding its internal training capabilities by partnering with SkillsFuture Singapore.

According to a statement, under the partnership, employees will have access to the SkillsFuture Series of courses curated for the insurance sector.

Employees will be trained in innovation, entrepreneurship, data analytics, social media and cybersecurity, among other areas, the statement said.

The move complements a broader Prudential initiative to make insurance simpler and more accessible using technology.

The company’s SGD70 million technology investment in 2017 resulted in the development an e-claims solution and a chat-bot powered by artificial intelligence.

SkillsFuture Singapore is a government-backed firm under the Ministry of Education that coordinates the implementation of Singapore's SkillsFuture movement to improve the quality education and training in the country.
