Deutsche Bank bolsters Asian wealth management team

Deutsche Bank Wealth Management has made a series of new hires to support its growth strategy in Asia.

This includes four members of a new team in Hong Kong dedicated to covering clients in Greater China.

The team, led by Gloria Sun, will be responsible for acquiring new clients and raising assets in Greater China. 

The four executives in the team joined Deutsche Bank from The Bank of East Asia in Hong Kong: Gloria Sun as managing director, group head; Winson Hung as director, investment adviser; Gary Lu as vice president, relationship manager; and Nora Lai as assistant vice president, relationship manager.

“Here in Asia, we had a great first quarter with strong client demand and double-digit revenue growth. We are now fully-focused on business growth and hiring in the region,” said Lok Yim, head of Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, APAC

The firm also announced other investments, including nine new hires in Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai, responsible for client coverage, project management, IT and KYC activities.
