Commonwealth Bank customers hit with online banking outage

The Commonwealth Bank (CBA) has blamed a problem at one of its data centres for customers being locked out of their online and mobile banking accounts from the early hours of Monday morning.

Customers were also unable to make in-store payments using other banks' Visa cards at CBA credit card terminals.

By mid-afternoon a bank spokesperson said that issue had been resolved, but not before customers took to social media to express their anger.
