The Bank of Singapore has officially opened a branch at the Dubai International Financial Centre.

The branch is being led by veteran banker Kirit Chauhan and supported by a team of 75 employees.

Chauhan joined Bank of Singapore as the market head for the Middle East, subcontinent and Africa in 2014.

Under Chauhan’s leadership, Bank of Singapore has registered stellar growth in the Middle East region - doubling its AUM and growing its net new money by almost five times in the last three years.

He played a pivotal role in Bank of Singapore securing its Category 4 licence last year, which led to the setting up of the DIFC branch.

With the opening of the new office, the bank is hoping to usher in a new growth phase in the Middle East.
