Rohit Bhuta is a senior executive with over 26 years’ experience, most of which (22 years) with the Macquarie Group. He has worked across eight key markets globally and has had extensive experience in the private banking, wealth management and asset management space. He has lived and worked in New Zealand, Australia, UK, South Africa, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India and Singapore. He has held senior leadership and strategic roles over the years, spanning multiple layers and levels of accountability. He is currently the CEO at Crossinvest (Asia) Pte Ltd, a family owned multi-generational independent asset management company providing (discretionary) investment management, investment advisory and family office solutions and services to investors globally. His role prior to this was working as a senior adviser to Macquarie Group’s Commodities and Financial Markets group, with a mandate to design and execute go-to-market strategies with the family offices, private banks and asset managers across Asia. His role prior to that and before a year-long sabbatical (2014), was the CEO of Religare Macquarie Private Wealth, a private wealth company domiciled in India but targeting high / ultra-high net worth investors globally. While Australia is home, he has operated out of South Africa since 2000 and Asia since 2005. Rohit has developed a deep understanding of the culture and the inherent nuances driving each economy within Africa and Asia, in particular within the wealth management / private banking industry.

Michael is launching partner and CEO of 360F. Before that, he was Managing Partner andCEO of Synpulse, a globally active management consultancy firm. A trusted adviser to theinternational financial services industry, Synpulse has around 400 employees inSwitzerland, Germany, the US, UK, Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong.Michael was a major shareholder and sold his stake in 2016, Michael’s professional career began as technical project manager with Living Systems. He then went on to become consultant with the Boston Consulting Group Switzerlandin the areas of Financial Services. During his consulting career, Michael focusedpredominantly on Wealth Management and Life Insurance. He has extensive experience in the areas of distribution, customer orientation, process optimization and platform projects. Michael has led and participated in over 100 projects in more than 20 years. Michael studied physics at Karlsruhe University in Germany (1991 - 1996), École Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Grenoble in France (1993 - 1994) and at the University of Sheffield in England (1994 - 1995). He completed his studies with degree as Master of Science and a degree as Master of Philosophy. In 2006, he also obtained a master degree in insurance management from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Minh Nguyen oversees the Vietnam market for Aetna International in Asia Pacific. In this role, she is responsible for managing relations with fronting partner and reinsurance companies, ensuring operational excellence, ensuring that international standards are provided to valued customers, exploring new market segments and overseeing business operations nationwide. An Aetna employee since 2015, she was previously with AIG (American International Group) for nearly a decade. With her broad experience and expertise, Minh is a proven leader and strategic thinker.

Olivier is the Head of EMC Asia for Commerzbank and is based in Hong Kong. He joined Commerzbank in 2003 as Global Head of Equity Exotic, Vanilla and Fund Trading and relocated to Hong Kong in May 2016 to head the Bank’s Equity Markets and Commodities, Sales, Trading and Structuring for Asia. Olivier started his career in Seismic oil prospection. He subsequently held a number of roles in derivatives trading with Societe Generale, Salomon Brothers, Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase. Olivier graduated in 1989 and holds a Diplome Ecole SUPELEC, France, as well as a Master in Philosophy from la Sorbonne in Paris.

Bao Nguyen, Country Director of GoBear Vietnam, has over 25 years of international experience in financial services working in various countries, including the US, South Korea, Singapore, and Vietnam. He has served in senior leadership roles at Prudential, AIA, Citibank, Samsung, Standard Chartered, and BIDV Metlife before joining GoBear. Vietnamese by birth, Bao Nguyen was raised in Washington DC in the US. He graduated from the University of Maryland College Park, majoring in Economics. Bao holds a Fund Management License issued by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam.

Irene Lee is Business Development Director for Hawksford, Asia and is responsible for managing and developing new business opportunities and relationships within the Asia Pacific region and beyond. An MBA Graduate, Irene was named “Professional of the Year 2016” for her contributions to the field of wealth management and financial services. Sylvie Ma is the Managing Partner of Henley & Partners Law Firm Ltd (Vietnam) and she is responsible for the company’s operation and development across Vietnam by providing residence and citizenship planning.  With over 10 years’ experience in the area, she specializes in providing solutions through forward thinking, integrated and result-oriented advice on immigration and has helped hundreds of Vietnamese nationals to settle overseas and/or acquire a second passport. With her legal and educational background in business, she has a deep knowledge and understanding of investment, accounting, finance, and M&A as well as corporate structures to comprehend and navigate the complexity of proving the client’s source of funds for the client’s residence or citizenship application.

She is a licensed Canadian lawyer and registered foreign lawyer in Vietnam.  She is also a member of Quebec Bar Association (Barreau du Québec), Canadian Bar Association and Investment Migration Council. Mrs. Ma holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Ottawa University and Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Finance and International Business from Concordia University.  She is fluent in English, French, Vietnamese and Cantonese.

Johan is an “old hand” in the Vietnam market, having been back in the country since 1998. Born in Vietnam but raised and educated in the US, Johan spent the first 9 years of his professional career as an analyst and commercial banker with CoreStates First Union Bank, a US based super-regional bank, with specialization in international banking and with responsibilities for the Southeast Asia markets. 

Johan came back to Vietnam to head HSBC Vietnam’s Corporate and Institutional Banking division and spent 9 years with HSBC Vietnam in various management responsibilities. At the establishment of Vietnam’s stock market in 2000, he set up and led HSBC’s Securities Services division and was considered one of the first persons in the country to be engaged and involved in the development of Vietnam’s stock market at the initial stage. 

Johan was well known in the country’s finance and capital market community which led to his appointment as the CEO of HSC. Under Johan’s leadership over ten years, HSC has emerged from the ranks of mid-end securities companies and risen to prominence, achieving the number one spot in 2012 and 2013 with the largest market share among 100 plus securities firms in Vietnam. Along the way to the top, HSC has won numerous top accolades in the industry, from Finance Asia, The Asian Banker, Asia Money, The Asset, Institutional Investor, and Thomson Reuters. 

Johan has presented various capital market topics at conferences in Vietnam, the U.S., Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, in relation to investment in Vietnam. With more than 30 years of relevant industry experience, David spent the first 19 years of his professional life in banking and wealth management. Beginning in client-facing sales roles, he moved on to building, managing and developing high-performance teams of client-facing Wealth Managers in large financial services organisations in the UK. In 2001, he founded a consulting and training business, and established it in South East Asia. He successfully worked on over 200 assignments with clients across Asia, India, and The Middle East. In 2011, David joined Hubbis, becoming Head of Learning Solutions. David has directed and managed a range of projects around the region with many large international and Asian-based private banks, wealth management organisations and other financial services institutions. These have focused on the development of senior and middle-management skills, front-line sales staff skills and knowledge, as well as sales, sales management and client engagement process development. Clients with which David has created and delivered skills training include: AXA; BSI Bank; Bank of Singapore; Bank Julius Baer; Barclays Wealth; Coutts; Credit Suisse; EFG Bank; HSBC Private Bank; Prudential; The Royal Bank of Scotland; UBS; UOB; and Zurich International.

Kelvin Lim is the Head of Business Development for IRESS Asia and is responsible for expanding the reach of IRESS’ Wealth and Trading Solutions in the region.

Prior to Leonteq in Singapore, he worked at Tikehau Capital (alternative investment firm) as head of business development South Asia; and EFA Group (private debt fund manager) as head of investor relations. From 2005-2012, he worked in London for Societe Generale and Commerzbank in fund derivatives structuring & institutional sales.

Ms. Dung now is the Deputy CEO of Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MSB), and CEO of Retail Banking. She joined the MSB in 2014. 

Before joining MSB, Ms. Dung had worked at Citibank for 15 years, and then Techcombank (TCB) since 2009.

At Techcombank, Ms. Dung had been a member of the Board of Directors, taking on leadership positions of Retails banking Head and then Wholesales Banking Head with a great contribution to both businesses. 

With over 15 years of experience with Citi Bank Viet Nam, since 1994, Ms. Dung had contributed to the bank’s growth across difirent senior management positions i.e Operations, Risk Manager, Head of Product Development and Implementation of Global transaction services.

Kevin co-founded PXP Vietnam Asset Management in 2002. He is responsible for investment policy and strategy and is the Portfolio Manager for PXP Vietnam Emerging Equity Fund and the segregated mandate. He has more than 30 years' investment experience. Kevin spent a decade in Hong Kong from 1985 to 1995 initially as an investment analyst and then as a specialist manager and trader of proprietary funds in emerging equity and equity derivatives markets in South East Asia. During that period, among other things, he established the Hong Kong equity derivatives business of Baring Securities and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. On returning to the United Kingdom in 1995, Kevin worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where he was involved in Latin American and South East Asian sales trading, and then for Bear Stearns International, where he traded closed-end funds in global emerging markets. Later he established the Global Emerging Markets and Japan Investment Company activity of ABN Amro in London.

Bernard joined Rong Viet Securities as Head of Research in 2018. He is Senior Investment Professional with more than 20 years of experience in global financial markets. Bernard started investing in Asia, Emerging Markets and the US in 1996. He is an expert on all publicly-listed asset classes, a value-driven and GARP focused investor. He is a frequent speaker and writer for various financial news medias. Fluent in French and Mandarin, he graduated Master of Science from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.

Pierre has been working in Singapore since 2009. He developed significant experience and innovative solutions in corporate, tax and immigration matters for his clients.

Pierre graduated in Business from ESSEC Business School and also holds a Master’s degree in Law. He was previously working in Paris and later managed the Corporate Service department of a Singapore-based German law firm. Prior joining Rosemont, Pierre was a legal consultant in a top-tier Singapore-based law firm where he was in charge of corporate, tax and immigration matters.

Pierre is also a Singapore Accredited Tax Practitioner.

Jeroen Simons is a High Net Worth Business Development Director at Sun Life Financial in Hong Kong. He has been in the financial industry sine the early 1980's. He holds a University Degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. During a rewarding career he has held client relationship and senior management positions most notably at American Express Private Bank  and ABN- AMRO Private Bank in both Europe and Asia. Since 2013 he was  with Swiss Life Global Solutions in Singapore and has recently made the move to Hong Kong joining Sun Life Financial HNW Team.  With his well established network of professional contacts  he is together with Sun Life's partners looking to grow its footprint in the region.

Kimmis Pun, a veteran banker for more than 30 years, is the Senior Managing Director, Head of Greater China, EFG Bank in Singapore. Prior to this appointment, she had been in senior management positions at UBS Bank, HSBC, Bank of America, BNP Paribas, Standard Chartered Bank Private Bank and VP Bank. She has MBA from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and professional qualifications CFP, ChFC, AIF, AEPP and IBFA. She is also the IBF Fellow awarded by IBF Singapore. Besides her banking career, she is the Board of Director of US-based Financial Planning Standard Board and a senior lecturer in 3 local universities for the past 15 years.

Gauraw is a seasoned business leader in the field of Wealth Management and Retail Banking with over 18 years of experience in Asian markets. Currently, he is based in Vietnam, where he set up and heading Affluent Banking and Wealth Management business for leading joint stock bank of Vietnam, VPBank. Prior to this, Gauraw was Head of Investments at ICICI Securities in India, the brokerage and wealth management arm of the second largest bank in India, ICICI Bank. Earlier, Gauraw worked at Standard Chartered for 10 years with many roles across Wealth Management and Priority Banking. He was Director, Priority Banking, India in his last assignment. He has done his bachelors in Economics and MBA in International Business. He been key note speaker and panelist on various industry forums and conferences.

Mr Terence Tran Hieu has more than 20 years of experience working at senior management levels in multinational companies in financial services, insurance, M&A, market research, strategy consulting and enterprise restructuring. Terence joined VFM, a subsidiary of Dragon Capital Group in 2014 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of domestic and offshore fund raising, distribution channels and other business development initiatives.

Terence previously worked as Chief Representative for HSBC Insurance, Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Insurance Brokers in Vietnam, Country Director for Allianz Vietnam. He is a holder of MBA degree with University of Hawaii, USA.

Ms.Nga joined VCBF in 2006 as an investment officer in private equity team, covering consumer goods and financial service.

Since 2010 she has been managing discretionary mandates for institutional investors, for which she devises the mandates’ investment strategies and asset allocations, and makes investment decisions for each portfolio based on the respective investment policies statement. In addition, Ms. Nga is a portfolio manager for VCBF’s open ended funds. Before that, as a head of research, she worked directly with analysts in market screening, sector review, company valuation and investment recommendation.

Prior to joining VCBF, Ms. Nga was with Deloitte (Vietnam) for nearly five years as Senior Auditor and Senior Financial Advisor in charge of audits and advisory assignments for foreign invested companies in various industries and involved in audits for large state own enterprises such as PetroVietnam and Electricity of Vietnam.

Ms. Nga holds a Master of Commerce (Advanced) degree from the University of Queensland with two majors in Applied Finance and Professional Accounting. She also earned a Bachelor of Economics degree from the National Economics University with a major in Accounting and Auditing. Duong Vuong is responsible for the capital market investments of the Vietnam Opportunity Fund (VOF), VinaCapital’s flagship fund. Mr. Vuong has 23 years of investment experience including the last ten years in Vietnam. Previously, Mr. Vuong was Research Head at PXP Vietnam Asset Management where he managed a team of analysts responsible for producing investment ideas for all of the firm’s portfolios.
