Investor Migration – Helping HNWIs with Offshore Citizenship and Residency Alternatives
Dominic Volek, Managing Partner and Head for Southeast Asia at global citizenship and residency consultancy Henley & Partners, spoke to Michael Stanhope in a head to head interview at the Malaysia Wealth Management forum. His message to the assembled wealth managers? That they should be aware of the many sensible Investor Migration options available to Asia’s HNWIs.

Martin Huxley, Head of Precious Metals for Asia at INTL FCStone, gave a talk at the Hubbis Malaysia Wealth Management Forum highlighting the growing role for physical gold for the Asian wealth management market, as evidenced by a survey the firm conducted with Hubbis earlier this year.

Irene Lee, Business Development Director, Intermediary and Partnership at Hawksford in Asia, shared some of her deep insights into wealth management trends in Asia, as the market faces the challenges of tightening tax regulations and intensifying global and local oversight.

David Meier, Director of Investment Solutions Sales at Swiss-based Leonteq Securities, gave an introductory presentation at the Malaysia Wealth Management Forum highlighting the appeals of structured products as an ideal diversification tool, especially during the increasingly uncertain market conditions.

Richard Chow, General Manager of Pacific Trustees Singapore, made a presentation at the Hubbis Malaysian Wealth Management Forum that highlighted how wealth management advisers and trustees can facilitate the often difficult  succession of family businesses and wealth.

Learning from the Amazons and other Digital Leaders: How Banks can Benefit
Yvonne Mok, Director of Sales for Asia Pacific at Appway and her colleague Felix Kan, Appway’s Head of Services and Engagement Lead for APAC, presented both an introductory talk and a Workshop at the Malaysia Wealth Management Forum to explain the ‘Amazon-style’ online experience and how it can help inform wealth management firms in Asia of options for enhancing their digital experience, internally and externally.

iWealth Holistic Wealth Advisory: The Choice of the Millennials
Yap Ming Hui explained the concept, target market, uses and benefits of a new addition to Whitman’s holistic advisory service to delegates at the Hubbis Malaysian Wealth Management Forum in Kuala Lumpur. Yap is founder and managing director of Whitman Independent Advisors and his mission at the Forum was to introduce iWealth, an app launched very recently in June this year that provides Whitman’s target market of tech-savvy millennials from the high net worth and mass affluent sectors with affordable, sophisticated semi-automated wealth advice.
